Market cap is a simple mathematical equation - share price times shares out. Acquisitions don't figure into it.
Many here have a huge overestimation about how a holding company makes money. It is simple...when the held companies have revenue, and pay their bills, whatever profit is left over is split based on the owned amount of the company. If held companies have no profit, the holding company has no revenue. That is where we are today, and will remain that way until the next filings which are due by April 1.
