Yes, and I remember it was controversial at the time. Bill Clinton was accused of using the military to rescue a "Democrat". But I imagine ships stationed in Long Island Sound would have participated in S&R operations for any aircraft or vessel in distress - even if there was a "Republican" aboard.

My point is there were hundreds and hundreds of people directly involved.

It's ludicrous to think this was all faked so JFK Jr. could help Donald Trump twenty some years later...
