My thinking here is that AVXL has an astute CEO who understands
exactly what he has. Whatever he decides to do I am OK with because
I believe one way or another, be it partnerships or a buyout, BP
will have to be involved here. Can AVXL make it on its own? Some
companies do such as GILD with their AIDS drugs. However, that is
a very hard road to hoe and the Biotech world is littered with
companies that have very effective drugs and managements unable
to optimize uptake. Just look no further than AMRN as a good
example of how an inept CEO could lay a great drug to waste.
Missling strikes me as being competent, bright, and intelligent.
He has carefully managed the share dilution to a minimum over the
years...Very impressive, in my book. I will leave the game plan
to him!
