Well then I shall recalendar it and put my worry beads away for now. Thanks for letting us know you are OK.

I have been trying to schedule a flu shot at my local pharmacy and it is very hard to do, as the pharmacy normally was open 7AM-9PM, but because of staffing shortages and I guess COVID testing, they are now only open 10AM-6PM. I stopped in this morning at 8:30AM to get a walk-in flu shot and was shocked to find the pharmacy now doesn't open until 10AM and if you don't have an appointment, don't bother showing up because walk-ins won't get done. They have even closed the drive-thru window for prescriptions - now it is 100 percent drive-thru COVID testing only.

Same with the diagnostic testing labs. I had my annual physical scheduled for next Monday, and it requires a blood draw. No problem thought I, and when I tried to schedule an appointment for the blood draw, there are ZERO openings until next week. Ergo, I had to reschedule (delay) my physical until the end of next week because I could not get the blood draw done and results by Monday. I foolishly thought I could circumvent the lack of appointments by showing up today at 6:30AM and I was the first person in the door. The receptionist told me that they will not take any walk-ins - one must have an appointment.

What a mess. And severe labor shortages are causing sit-down and fast food restaurants to reduce hours. Substantially. The KFC/A&W used to be open until 11PM. Now it closes at 6:30PM.

There are Help Wanted signs everywhere. I mean everywhere! Grocery stores, hardware stores, even banks and dental offices.

And then the shock of food prices when you get in a grocery store or restaurant - sheeesh!!!.

1970s here we come. My childhood nightmare is going to revisit me.

How were the jobless claims up so high this morning when the local Taco Bell is offering $18/hr and a $100 sign-on bonus and a $100 one month retention bonus for new hires?? That is UNSKILLED labor. ANYone can do it. How can there be so many folks claiming to be unemployed? You can do those yobbs with a middle school education or less and zero experience.

People, especially younger ones, simply don't want to work anymore, unless the yobb is fun and easy and pays a ton along with stock options.

Evidently with the eviction ban going on 20 months there is no need for renters to make rent. You cannot get kicked ~OUTT for nott paying anything.

Trucking companies cannot even find enough drivers - even though the average pay for non-owner/operators is now $74,000 with many making six figures without having to live in Williston, ND and drive locally for the shale oil companies.
