I saw no assertions by IPIX in those blogs/articles that "Prurisol was the more risky dark horse in the barn with Kevetrin and Brilacidin".

But I did learn one thing that I didn't know before while trying to confirm your statement, thank you. Leo Ehrlich was still pumping the prospects of Prurisol right up until 5 weeks before he announced its actual demise (link previously provided).
