You overnight charge in the garage as needed for daily use. Long distance travel takes one charge at around midway point and that takes 30-40 minutes while you are taking lunch break and restroom stop. This is not very different than driving long distance in ICE car so this is a made up issue.

There could be an issue at your destination if there are no convenient charging (garage) points so there needs to some planning ahead if this is the case. But even this issue is going away as more and more places have easy charging options.
