#1- They target Stocks that have High Market Capacity with a large following of Retail Investors in particular on the OTC since it's unregulated, but it can occur on any Exchange. Many such examples of this. GameStop is just one that got the most attention and exposed them for who they really are!
Despite them having a vital function to "Make a Market" for trading stocks, they also have a dark side that unfortunately in criminal in nature. Just so everyone knows this, Naked Short Selling is blatant criminal behavior that qualifies as Counterfeiting! It is an epic breech of SEC Rules & Regulations that's focused on protecting all Investors from any illegal activity, but for some reason they allow it.
#2- They systematically & artificially drop the PPS in tandem via their network computers over an extended period which can be for months or even a year or more. Then at some point they turn around and begin buying legitimate retail shares at Market on their personal brokerage accounts that they scared weak hands into selling!
Therefore, those who SOLD out of fear due to the PPS artificially dropping unknowingly handed them ALL their Shares that at some point they're going to SELL for an ENORMOUS PROFIT! The result? Share Holders that sold got propositioned by a group of con artists who tricked them out of their shares!
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out.
Fact is they want the PPS to go UP just as much as any retail investor, but ONLY after they achieve massive buying at a DEEP DISCOUNT!
