To formulate the theory, I considered how a lawyer might use verbiage to hide timeline clues in a tweet without anyone being able to prove the timeline clues definitely exist.

Your statement actually proves my point I think, how can anyone make an assumption that the merger is imminent from that generalized tweet, with no specifics, that grouped all the tickers together under a blanket statement of “we can”t provide info because of A and B reasons”, rather than A or B reasons, as A or B may apply to each ticker’s specific situation.
