What's amazing to me is that AMD management held a dog-and-pony show and loudly declared that GMs would be in the 55% range. Only one month later GMs are at 36% (note that the 40% figure is non-GAAP, although even if we give them the benefit of the doubt and use 40%, it's still pathetic coming right after that analyst pump-n-dump meeting).
