Besides The main company, can I assume that all of the subsidiaries are also remnants of failures?

Once upon a time it was Austrianova that had all of these subsidiaries (the Australian one excluded, and a mystery). Created, and spun off by the AN parent company. Each had varying amount of debt. Along comes PMCB (then Nuvilex) to act as AN's ATM cash machine.

Pull up the last 10K, and go to page 96. Start at item 10.1. Essentially PMCB assumed AN subsidiary debt, and promised to enter into agreements for CIAB. Then in the gift that kept giving for AN, two years later PMCB pays for a CIAB license off a now expired patent.

The net result was AN got out of debt by selling their subsidiary shells to PMCB. And Shells they remain today. They exist on paper, and that's it.
