I have sold two companies in the last 12 years. in one Case I was 100% shareholder. we did a few million a year in sales and made a net profit. I sold. I didn't make millions. rule of thumb is 3x net earnings plus assets and that is often how private companies are valued for bank financings, divorce division of assets etc.

The other one was breaking even and we did ok on that but I was only 20% owner - in the end I really didn't make much as I took a reduced salary for 2 years to run it. And Im not a big fan of working.

To respond to your question. Excessive margin buying YESSSSSS and yes newbies. BUT it is classic greater fool theory. as BTC holds $63,000 and ETH holding 2200 with XRP pushing $2 I own 2 of the latter.
