Cathie Wood, with her Ark ETFs, invests her clients' money into what she calls disuruptive innovation. She has a position in the Square Company (SQ) and has interviwed the CEO of that company which is available online. She talks about the end of banking as we know it. At present, cryptocurrency isn't widely used by the world's inhabitants, now around 8 billion of them.

Then there is the CRISPR tecnology. Already there are at least five public traded companies using this gene editing technology that was discovered by Jennifer Doudna and a collaborator.

Once the Bitcoin and the Blochain became popular a few years ago, the proponents -- at least from a public stock perspective -- have pounded the table for the end of central banks and government issued currencies. One podcast from The Investors Podcast website that featured an interview with a really smart billionaire investor included his observation that proponents of cyber currency are giving the middle finger at the central banks. I found that interesting.
