To be clear, you’re discussing Novocure, I thought initially you were discussing DCVax.

People might think you are saying DCVax has little impact and only with treatments like Novocure.

Honestly, I don’t think Novocure is an improvement of their quality of life. I am not sure if it works well, but for some patients, definitely the extra time may be well worth the inconvenience and discomfort. Patients should have that choice.

But I am not sure that Novocure necessarily compliments DCVax. Might be worth a study. Novocure slows the growth of existing tumor tissue, supposedly. But wearing it is apparently very uncomfortable, especially over time. So I think it is hard to know if patients were consistent in their use of the device.

Re DCVax as a cure....

For many of the patients that, after having surgery and initial chemo or radiation, the continuing treatment supposedly was only DCVax. Kat was one of those patients and she was recurrent.

But I agree, I think the combinations (not really thinking of Novocure here) will hopefully address patients who were not functionally cured or lengthen the survival period for patients who need the addition of certain treatments to address the particularity of their disease progression or tumors. It will certainly be interesting to see how it all plays out.
