I'm long but frankly this is a market message of a breakdown in confidence.
No one knows if and when the promising product will complete its trials or whether granted approval. Both are hopes not guarantees.
In the meanwhile the market doesn't have the patience to wait for an answer.
I believe the company has nothing to say that would turn this around. If they did, they'd say it immediately. Why wait?

Add on mgmt turmoil and this is no buying opportunity.
Right now it looks like LONGS are trapped ie shouldn't Buy; shouldn't Sell. Uncomfortable place to be in.
I personally wouldn't get in the way of a falling knife .
I'd wait for something concrete before doing anything .
