It’s not as simple as “it took 6 months” to start a 120 subject trial. It went from an idea of using B as an antiviral into extensive laboratory testing, which resulted in publication in the “viruses” journal. Then on to Brilacidin manufacturing based on results of lab testing being excellent and supportive of trial, pre IND, FDA meetings, CRO selection, site selection and preparation (including oversea sites), Fast Track applications....and now trial start. I’m sure there are some steps I have even missed along the way. 6 months is pretty good for a small Bio to complete this.
