My 4 kids, wife and myself have had Covid.
My 94 year old grandmother had Covid. She was in an assisted living in Indianapolis and was tested everyday and was positive for 3 weeks before being negative. I spoke to her every day. She was tired, lost smell and taste and had minor head congestion.

That being said it hurts some people much more than others.
Fortunately I haven’t known anyone seriously hurt by it but my sons hockey coach’s lungs are still in pain after 5 months of getting over Covid.
