Update of Treasure Canyon Lode Claims
In December, at the recommendation of counsel, we submitted a revised Plan of Operations to the Forest Service that removed the onsite mill from the project (and move it to an offsite location). It was recommended to do this so that the approval process for the Plan of Operations could be shortened by the Forest Service. The current Plan of Operations includes opening the mine, trailers onsite for personnel to stay in onsite, and that the ore will be shipped off site for processing. This also decreases the footprint of the operation, which was necessary to decrease the permitting requirements.
A permit application and application fee was submitted to California Fish and Game last September. We are waiting on approval of the application to put in a bridge over the creek to the mine site.
A request for requirements for applicable permits was submitted to California Regional Water Board in September. They replied by email in November with requirements based on the original Plan of Operations, however, we are waiting for them to receive the revised Plan of Operations from the Forest Service so that we can file the proper permit applications.
The Forest Service is moving ahead in their NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) evaluation of the Plan of Operations. They have indicated that all of the field work has been completed and that they can complete the analysis from their office.
Based on shut downs due to Covid-19 at both State and Forest Service offices, reviews and approvals have been delayed, however, we still anticipate that all permits and approvals will be obtained in the April to May 2021 timeframe, allowing Eon Discovery personnel to be onsite building the tunnel early this summer.
