Why install a car gas system?
Using methane or LPG, gas systems for cars bring numerous advantages, the first of which is of an economic nature. The cost of LPG is about 66 cents per liter, that of petrol 1.6 euros per liter. Considering that the yield of LPG is 20% lower than that of gasoline (if a car consumes 1 liter of gasoline every 10 km, it will travel 8 with the same amount of LPG), each full tank guarantees a saving of 40%. A similar argument can be made for methane which, at a price of about 1 Euro / kg (the equivalent of 1.5 liters), allows savings of up to 60% compared to traditional fuel.

Another aspect not to be underestimated is linked to eco-sustainability. Traveling with an ecological vehicle means both having a lower impact on the environment (the gases are free of lead and nitrogen and exponentially reduce the emission of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen into the atmosphere) and being able to enjoy greater freedom. In fact, cars with an ecological system can freely access the ZTL areas and circulate even during traffic blocks.

Which car gas system to install?
Choosing the gas system for your car may be less simple than it seems. Usually LPG is more suitable for sporty driving, while CNG is especially suitable for those who travel many kilometers. On the page LPG or methane systems : how to choose you can calculate how much you would save with both gases.

Regarding the systems, BRC has launched 7 kits on the market:
- Alba 32 , Sequent 32 OBD and Sequent Plug & Drive gas systems can be installed on cars up to 4 cylinders ;
- On 6 or 8 cylinder cars, the Sequent Plug & Drive Plus and Alba Plus ;
- On direct injection cars, Sequent Direct Injection 2.0 .

Before installing a gas system is it necessary to modify or strengthen some parts of the car?
When this question is asked, it is usually referred to as suspensions. Let's dispel a myth: the installation of a gas system for cars does not require any type of structural intervention on the car.

Are car gas systems safe?
Car gas systems are completely safe: they not only do not damage the engine, but also ensure a pleasant driving experience and reduce oil consumption.

Where can gas cars be parked?
The CNG cars can be parked anywhere; those with LPG have only one limitation: they cannot be parked beyond the first basement floor.

Can gas cars go through tunnels and tunnels?
Yes, there are no restrictions of any kind for gas cars.

Is it possible to install a gas system on a car with automatic gearbox or start and stop?
Yes, even cars with automatic transmission and start and stop can be converted to gas in total safety.

How many are the distributors of LPG and methane in Italy?
In Italy there are 4,000 LPG distributors (300 located on the motorway), while the methane filling stations exceed one thousand. The motorways with the most LPG stations are the A1, which has 35, the A14, which has 47, and the A4, which boasts 50 refueling points. The motorways with more methane stations are the A1 and A2.

The advantages of having an LPG system:
Ability to circulate anywhere with guaranteed savings and lower environmental impact.
The installation of an LPG system on your petrol car guarantees a whole series of advantages . Among these, the possibility to circulate everywhere, the considerable economic savings and the lower environmental impact stand out.

LPG

Considering that LPG has a cost per liter that is more than 50% lower than that of petrol, and that LPG consumption increases by about 20%, it can be said that fueling a car with LPG results in savings of over 40% compared to the original power supply.

LPG system: an eco-sustainable choice

LPG systems have a low environmental impact. This is thanks to the reduced emissions of carbon dioxide (the drop in LPG is 10%) and the absence of sulfur and lead in gases. LPG systems have made it possible to reduce emissions into the environment of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen.
Not just eco-sustainability. Thanks to the quiet and well distributed combustion of the LPG systems, respect for the environment is accompanied by a pleasant and relaxed driving experience. For a step forward from all points of view.

Nature as a source of inspiration

The tree lives and grows using natural elements: water, the energy of the sun and the carbon dioxide (CO2) present in the atmosphere allow it to create wood molecules and produce oxygen. Thanks to this process, known as photosynthesis, the tree helps to reduce the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, to contain the greenhouse effect and to slow down the warming of the earth's climate.

LPG system: nature squared
On average, a tree is able to absorb between 10 and 20 kg CO2 / year. A car that travels 10,000 km per year with a consumption of 14 km / l produces 1669 kg of CO2. If it went to LPG it would reduce emissions by 10% (the work of 8 trees).

01 December 2020 From today on LPG the Ford Puma 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid 125 HP

The new Ford Puma , launched on the Italian market at the end of last year, immediately proved to be one of the favorite cars in Italy, effectively entering the top sales positions of the most popular hybrid cars in 2020 (with Mild system).

The Ford Puma incorporates a small electric motor with a 48-volt battery that helps provide additional support to the petrol engine when needed, increasing range and reducing emissions.

Thanks to the work of the BRC research and development department, a dedicated Sequent SDI kit has been developed , to combine the characteristics of the car with the advantages of LPG for motor vehicles. A 40-liter 580x220 toroidal tank can be installed on the new Ford Puma.
