"...the million dollar hospital bills I’m seeing for 68 year old patients." Tell me about it. I summoned nursing care for my wife when I arrived in her room tonight. So there were three nurses in the room for almost my entire visit, although one did leave before I did. This has been going on, this round, since February. Millions of dollars. And once she leaves this hospital, the nursing center she will return to is still under lockdown.

Holding up effective treatment affects not only patients, but their families, too. Unbelievable emotional and financial costs for the families, and health costs for the patients. Feels like fighting a forest fire with one bucket of water at a time.
