With no symptoms...makes no sence to get tested except that I’m an ER doc and could be infectious to others for like a week without knowing. But testing of the front line has still not come down the line....and maybe cause it’s just pointless. And maybe scary!!!! I’ve taken care of over Two hundred covids. 95% go home. The most in the last two weeks. It’s exploding If I get sick...I know they will test me....last thing I want to do is spread it to people seeking help and maybe vulnerable. But as a practice....no ER doc in Nevada has been tested unless symptomatic by our employers or the hospital. Nor have we been encouraged to get tested. The antibody test seems somewhat weak in its accuracy and I honestly don’t care. I made my bed showing up to work and find the PAPR’s burdensome and the training/sterilization ....lacking so I don’t use em. Nor do most others. If I told you I knew of admitted patients in the waiting room for more than 10 hours that were covid positive what would you say? Or in the halls with a mask but behind a screen? These are nationwide issues not unique to my state. 97% of the curve lies ahead! Lem.
