Nothing in that PR contradicts my forecast.

This year's first production run will be dedicated to fulfilling an outstanding order.

Note that there is no quantity associated with this statement. KBLB will only be able to ship about a ton of product before Prodigy shuts down in November at the end of the growing season in Vietnam. I'm guessing we have a small order of about a ton for a company to create prototypes.

"The following production runs will be to address fiber requests made by additional development partners..."

Notice what this does NOT say. It does not say 'to fulfill orders.' Nor does it say when these production runs will occur. What is clear is that KBLB will only be able to address requests for fibers and not fulfill customer orders. Companies want samples of our fibers to investigate their properties. At best, we will be able to fulfill a small order in 2020 and provide some additional samples to other folks, though samples may get pushed back to 2021.

Perhaps 2021 will see KBLB license their technology out to farmers who rear silkworms and sell back to KBLB. Of course, they have to worry a little about the farmers getting a better price from, say, China and not selling back to KBLB like they are supposed to. But don't expect commercial-scale quantities from Prodigy in 2020. Not going to happen.
