Check-Cap is a clinical-stage medical diagnostics company developing
C-Scan®, the first capsule-based system for preparation-free, colorectal cancer screening.

Utilizing innovative ultra-low dose X-ray and wireless communication technologies, our capsule generates information on the contours of the inside of the colon as it passes naturally. This information is used to create a 3D map of the colon, which allows physicians to look for polyps and other abnormalities. Designed to improve the patient experience and increase the willingness of individuals to participate in recommended colorectal cancer screening, C-Scan® removes many frequently-cited barriers, such as laxative bowel preparation, invasiveness and sedation.

Detecting polyps without bowel preparation
Unlike existing tests that require a clean and distended bowel, C-Scan is a breakthrough technology that works in concert with the natural state of the bowel to detect structural abnormalities that may be precancerous or cancerous polyps.

1 C-Scan® Cap uses X-ray technology, which can “see through” bowel contents, as it passes naturally through the gastrointestinal tract.
2 C-Scan® Track records the capsules location at all times via wireless communication.
3 C-Scan® View combines X-ray and location info to create a 3D map of the contours on the inside of the colon for physician review.
4 Bowel preparation, fasting, changes to diet and daily activities, insertion of instruments, nor sedation are required.
C-Scan® is currently CE certified.
