It takes $2.50 in margin balance to short stocks. If they reverse split 1 for ten then short sellers can use 2 to 1 margin to short the $5.20 stock. I expect it to fall 10% to 40% in the weeks after they do the reverse split. Now they have to use $2.50 of available margin funds to short the $0.52 stock. That is one reason stocks sink further once they reverse split. Management seems to be the most shareholder unfriendly of any stock I own.
