Thanks for sharing that. Interesting! They mention 3D Touch working on the smallest HL17 which has a foot print of 15-1/2x18-1/4x10 inch. Wonder if that system could be miniaturized to say half the size? A smaller size might work well for elevators, self-checkouts and vending machines.
The local Safeways have gone to wrapping then rewrapping the self-checkout credit card PIN terminals with kitchen wrap as part of the Covid-19 mitigation. I’d just as soon never touch a screen in public, even before the latest pandemic. Amazing how several retailers still ask questions on those terminals even today (food bank donation at Safeway, type of receipt at Harbor Freight, pet shelter donation at PetSmart) that require touching the screen or stylus, despite the RFID and chips making the financial part essentially touch-less. Good market going forward for touch holography, IMHO.
Maybe academic at this point for PVHO. Hope Curt and company (and us here) don’t look back in years ahead and say “missed it by *that* much...”
