Hemo: First let me thank you for your participation here. Always productive. However.. think that you too fell into the trap of speculation but on the other side... I guess there is too much speculation in general probably due to the lack of information from corporate and the head shaking going on with us here... not understanding why there is no mention what so ever from any healthcare pro that they even know about Cytosorb.
I will go out on a limb here and "speculate" that the process of using Cytosorb is not "easy". In fact if you look at the videos available it emulates dialysis. CRRT … If a hospital were to incorporate Cytosorb, how many machines that facilitate its use would they have ?
from their site:
CytoSorb is compatible with most standard hemodialysis machines, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) machines, heart-lung machines, most extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machines, and other blood pumps found in most hospitals. Using a standard hemodialysis machine, blood is pumped out of the body, through the CytoSorb cartridge that contains the company’s proprietary blood compatible porous polymer beads, and the “purified” blood is recirculated back to the patient over and over again. In a twenty-four hour period, a patient’s entire blood volume can be treated more than 70 times.

Does a hospital have the expertise and training to put Cytosorb in play when many are going to require it?

Yes.. we are indeed speculating on why this life saving device is missing in action.

Be well.
