Bobwins: Calm down, take a deep breath (LOL!). About a week ago expert Dr. Scott Gottlieb recommended that the public wear masks. I was angry when they poo-pooed them early on, knowing it was a crock. They wanted them for the medical community, which is appropriate. But what do they think the public was going to do--run to Home Depot and buy them up before doctors got there to buy them?
I live in an area that has a very large Korean-American population. Maybe a decade ago, you would see "Asian faces" (perhaps not everyone was Korean-American) with masks. I assumed they had colds, etc., and their culture dictates that you be considerate of others. Unfortunately, before this corona-virus began, you rarely saw "Asian faces" wearing masks. I guess they followed the "when in Rome" philosophy and abandoned the practice. I hope that from now on, all Americans will wear masks when they are ailing.
Our Governor announced today that we have to stay at home except to buy food, medicine, and a few other things. He said that by Easter, Maryland would be like New York. We are having outbreaks in medical facilities.
