Thank goodness with the red tape cut we now have private industry and government working together


Why does everyone, even wise and smart posters not realized that FDA, CDC(i.e. government)and all federal agencies are run by one to three levels of political appointees. The present administration has broken that tradition and has cut and demoted professionals all across the agency. So talking about government (CDC and FDA, presumably, in this instance) doing something, whatever it is, is not precise. Of course there is red tape (regulations) but they can be dealt with easily by the agency leadership and its general counsel -- if there is a lack of ignorance and some will to do the right thing.
