As I recall, we had a 50% correction in 2009.

That correction was caused by the deliberate policy of the post-9/11 housing bubble which led to the collapse of the US banking system.

Maybe today, China's weaponized coronavirus takes out a big percentage of the population.

We've run out of other people's Social Security taxes needed to subsidize our low income tax rates.
