That’s not exactly correct. It is not “the definition” but rather a synonym OF SORTS. While they both “strengthen” a statement , “affirm” is used to “validate or state positively” while conform merely strengthens a statement whether positive or negative. Here’s a link for your perusal. I’m still waiting for a link to your “confirm” letter
