Tommy- keep the faith
Please understand that there is a lot that we do know. But, when the big news will hit is opinion. Nobody on this board KNOWS, they offer OPINIONS based on what we do know. A couple of members have taken a shot at posting lists of what we do know. Everyone can draw their own conclusion as to what it means. IMHO a few of the significant KNOWNS:
Nio was due for a PP to raise cash around September. This did not happen. Mark has been financing the company since then.
The plant was redesigned to eliminate the need for a water line to the Missouri. This in turn eliminated the need for a major federal level permit. These permits (IF needed) can be very time consuming.
There are no major federal permits required at this point.
There is one major state permit that is still needed. The state has said they expect to issue a draft of this permit this month.
The final permit would typically be issued a month later.
There is a big annual conference at which emerging companies make “pitches” to potential investors. Nio normally attends and presents. They skipped it this year.
Nio worked with the Johnson County Commissioners to get land use approval. This was accomplished Dec. 24.
Nio has announced contractors (big companies with good reputations) that will build the underground and surface facilities. They state that they are negotiating detailed contracts with these companies.

I am sure others can add to or modify this list. Regardless, this is what we KNOW. What it all means is up to each member to decide for himself.

I guess I could add “year of the metal rat” to the list but I can honestly say I DID NOT know that.
