That miners gap might be deceptive. Many times we'll hit the top of a gap and spin. But I'd sure like to see the bottom tagged and slightly pierced. Like you said, lots of possibilities, gez a long word for me today.
For fast trade longs I trade GDX and NUGT. I also use a fund RYPMX for multi-day plays, which tracks the XAU very close and isn't as volatile plus it's a better way, for me anyway to play the whole sector. I dont have time to research miners so I play the broad based sector to some degree.
