The basic problem with this is that the conclusions are pretty much science based. And we're in an era when we don't trust science, we are anti-science - check out what they've recently done to the research branch of the Dept of Agriculture. It wouldn't surprise me at all if we again start seeing claims that cigarette smoking is actually not harmful to your health.

The concern about exposure to air- and water-borne carcinogens turns out to be a needless impediment to corporate growth, a hoax. Why bother us with this egghead prattle about increasing longevity and quality of life when there's money to be made!
