Lots of misinformation being posted re: Materion

1) First of all, back in the day, the primary force of Materion was derived from its beryl properties in Utah and its ability to successfully develop the material beryllium for military applications and stockpiling.

2) It was the world's largest supplier of this material out of Elmore, OH

3) All of the other components of BMG's, zirconium, titanium, nickel, copper, etc were bought out on the world market.

China, outside of beryllium and titanium, is the largest supplier of all of the rare earth metals used in bmg's.

Clearly, Supply from China is a HUGE ADVANTAGE for LI.

And, by the way, Materion initially made bmg's in house, but, by the time of the LF OH had clearly contracted with Eutectix to produce all of the bmg ingots as they were better equipped to produce the anticipated volumes required for bmg commercialization and had economies of scale which limited Materion from being competitive.
