Kim knows that shorters are on the large exchanges.

He said the difference will be that they’ll be more savvy/intelligent investor. That they will not be as likely to short a company without having any idea what they do.

He believes the shorters in OTC land will short without any knowledge of a company other than “they just spiked 20% in a day”. They’ll place trades based on statistical knowledge of what happens to an OTC stock after a 20% spike. They’ll be clueless as to what the company even does.

He’s counting on the shorters on the big boards to investigate first to find out why a company spiked before they go and short it. That they’ll take more care to not blindly short a rising star. I believe his logic is sound in that regard.
