Companies don't release press releases to appease shareholders. They release them when they are completed and reviewed by all that need to review them, and any required changes incorporated. The LAST thing a public company does is time press releases JUST to affect share price. That would easily be illegal anyway.
It can take significant time to get a pr into its releasable form. I know - I used to review them and require changes myself. And everyone has multiple jobs, and doesn't drop everything just to incorporate changes into an upcoming pr.
