For anyone who feels that an ev of any kind is the answer to our environmental issues think about this.

a battery is made up of a number of elements that have to be mined around the world. They are:
Lithium, Cobalt, Manganese, Nickel-Cadmium, and graphite. To manufacture this battery is an expensive process. Not to mention, once again, dealing with countries that aren't always friendly to us. The useful life of a battery is half of what a modern day internal combustion engine produces. Not to mention the initial cost being over twice the cost.

Compare this to a modern day NatGas vehicle. Runs on NatGas / RNG. RNG (methane) is a by product of landfill gases that if not captured, would be released into the atmosphere. Clean Energy and others are capturing this methane and producing RNG. I can't think of a more useful cleaner alternative than this process.
