That's my choice. Sports has always been about winning. Winning ugly counts the same as winning pretty. Keep the survivor format for the King.

But even with the loser pool, it's hard to stay interested once you've lost. Awarding runner up prizes for PF/PA is worth trying. Keeps hope alive for a blow-out win late in the season that juices your ranking.

Another alternative: Use regular season-style rankings--whoever finishes with the most wins wins. That way, an early loss (which is usually luck since it's hard to know how good a team is until a few weeks in) doesn't wreck the season.

You know how it is when you look forward to the pool for months and then a big upset in the week 1 wipes you out (along with half the board). Remember 2 years ago when, 3 weeks in, we were already down to less than 10?
