The Athlon64 FX processor may be available -- only 10,000 units will be delivered by the end of the year -- but no systems are available. The Windows A64 OS is not and will not be available until next year. Some of the components that were in the tested FX system are not available. 64 bit drivers are not available for most hardware.

The infrastructure to build the tested FX laboratory-special SYSTEM is not available.

An Athlon FX that is available is therefore nothing more than a slightly improved Athlon XP as far as the gamer market is concerned.
