How much money would we need to accumulate by the time we retired at age 55?

Who is WE? Where does WE live? Is WE married with a double income or is the 5k a single income? Does WE have children to raise? Does WE plan to help pay college expenses? What other expenses does WE have?

Your post sounds like a bad sales pitch to me.
