What happens if I sell DD CANF & not switch it into any other stock rightaway? It will remain as CASH, correct? Then suppose, after a day or so, I want to buy another stock. Will I have the option to:

(a)buy stock X ('single' position), & keep the remaining half as CASH
(b)buy 2 different stocks X and Y
or
(c)will that new stock have to be a 'double'?
