This backlash against BT wouldn't have happened in the past as it's happening now... because the problem has become progressively more visible... and thanks to the e-cig industry, even more so (sons/daughters addicted to what? nicotine...)

Don't put too much emphasis on the $ with BT...

Study out on healthcare cost-savings... ~5% annual decline in users, anyway... combustibles are a losing business... I said months ago that PM is declaring their "smoke-free future" because they knew the final nail in the coffin was coming... and it is
