Social networks unite to suppress conservatives, boost left-wing fantasies

WASHINGTON. The late publisher of the Washington Post, Katharine Graham, once said, “News is what someone wants to suppress. Everything else is advertising.” No one knows the truth of this observation better today than the dwindling number of conservatives still clinging by their fingernails onto their social media accounts. In an increasingly blatant move toward outright censorship, America’s key social networks are uniting to suppress conservatives and boost their cherished left-wing fantasies.

The latest victim of this SJW-led, Marxist-style suppression and de-platforming campaign led by the major social networking sites? None other than James O’Keefe of Project Veritas. O’Keefe’s usual modus operandi? He exposes the dark hearts of those comfortable, left-wing champions of mainstream culture through the clever deployment of undercover video cameras and concealed microphones.

Investigative journalism gets you banned

O’Keefe’s latest offense involves uncovering internal documents detailing Pinterest’s flagging of conservative commentator and observant Jew Ben Shapiro as a “white supremacist.” The social media site also designated the pro-life website run by LiveAction as pornographic.

For exposing the biased inner workings of a social media giant, O’Keefe found himself banned from Twitter for violating the offensive Pinterest’s “privacy.”

This latest conservative banning, of course, is part of an ongoing attempt by the wealthy owners of social networks to preserve their self-appointed position as collective defenders of the truth. As they define it. Something our dying legacy media failed to do in defense of their long-vanished acceptance as gatekeepers of our information flow.

Gatekeepers no more

A 2016 study commissioned by the Columbia Journalism Review discovered that Trump’s election as the nation’s 45th president resulted from…

“… a right-wing media network anchored around Breitbart [that] developed as a distinct and insulated media system, using social media [Facebook] as a backbone to transmit a hyper-partisan perspective to the world. This pro-Trump media sphere appears to have not only successfully set the agenda for the conservative media sphere, but also strongly influenced the broader media agenda, in particular coverage of Hillary Clinton.”

In other words, alternative conservative media successfully circumvented a left-wing, mainstream media network anchored around The New York Times and the Washington Post. Both still serve as a backbone to broadcast a hyper-partisan, leftist perspective on practically everything to anyone they can suck into their scheme. Hence, their exclusive promotion of Hillary Clinton’s bizarre perspective on America and the world.

Zuckerberg’s algorithms

Unplugging the American electorate from the legacy media’s carefully cultivated Matrix-like hive mind even caught wealthy socialist Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg off guard. When confronted by members of the legacy media for having a hand in getting Donald Trump elected, Zuckerberg initially said:

“Personally, I think the idea that fake news on Facebook… influenced the election in any way is a pretty crazy idea. Voters make decisions based on their lived experience.”

But the overwhelming attacks hurled his way convinced Zuckerberg of the error of his ways. And so, he assured nervous mainstream media types that his programmers had developed algorithms to push “fake news” (conservative content) to the bottom of his platform’s news feed, thus reducing readership of that material. If not send it down the memory hole entirely.

Other major social networks did likewise.

But evidence now shows us that tactic clearly failed.

Social media intensifies its malicious drive to meddle in the 2020 election
Now, with the 2020 presidential election just over the horizon, social networks and media sites apparently agree that a more direct approach to deal with members of the conservative media should be in order. Namely, the outright banning of its leaders and their content.

Our lying media

The Washington Post implies that without banning and shunning conservatives, their writings, and their speech, America’s “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” That hyperbolic statement was only surpassed by the New York Times. Meeting and beating their Washington competitors, New York City’s Pravda-on-the-Hudson retired its prosaic 19th-century slogan “All the News That’s Fit to Print.”

In its stead, their breathless proclamation that “The Truth is more important now than ever.”

But Truth is something we rarely if ever see in these two newspapers. These and other “information leaders” have become the very antithesis of truth, justice, and the American way.

Worse, for the past two years, they’ve peddled the big lie that President Donald Trump is a traitor to our country. Yes, that the duly-elected president of the United States is an agent of Moscow’s criminal oligarchs. That his justifiably incensed musings to his White House counsel – that he’d love nothing better than to fire the grand inquisitor investigating the phony charges against him – were not the understandable reveries of a man falsely accused. But rather, an “obstruction of justice.”

Seriously?

Never mind that Trump never fired the Grand Inquisitor in question, Robert Mueller.

CNN earns its “fake news” moniker
Getting back to O’Keefe, it was his undercover cameras that revealed CNN’s supervising producer John Bonifield’s hidden political agenda. Nearly a year ago, Bonifield – not realizing he was talking to an agent of O’Keefe’s Project Veritas – said of the alleged Trump/Russia collusion:

“I mean, it’s mostly bullshit right now. Like, we don’t have any big giant proof… the president is probably right to say [CNN] is witch-hunting [him].”

As it turned out, Mueller’s inquisition failed to bear fruit, bearing out Bonifield’s observation. Mueller found no evidence of collusion or obstruction in the current White House at all. Certainly nothing capable of coaxing criminal indictments from a grand jury. But the legacy media, the so-called Defenders of Truth, can’t let go of the lies.

From lies to outright fantasy

But now the successful campaign to ban conservative voices from the public sphere has emboldened the corporate leftist leaders of dominant social media outlets to transform legacy media’s right-wing political witch-hunting into something more insidious. Namely, gaslighting everyone about the very essence of objective reality.

Canadian feminist and journalist Meghan Murphy found out the hard way what happens if you state the politically and socially obvious by way of Twitter.

“Women aren’t men,” Murphy says regarding transgenders.

For this “hateful” sin, she was banned. In reaction, the incensed Murphy sent a message to the reliably socialist censors at Twitter:

“This is f&%#ing bullshit. I’m not allowed to say that men aren’t women or ask questions about the notion of transgenderism at all anymore? That a multi-billion-dollar company is censoring BASIC FACTS and silencing people who ask questions about this dogma is INSANE.”

Forget about the facts, ma’am…

Murphy actually misses the point. If facts mattered, the dissembling left would find itself defenseless when confronting them. So it’s far easier for social media giants to ban the bearers of, as Murphy says, “BASIC FACTS.”

During a recent commencement address at Pitzer College in Claremont, California, transgender actor Laverne Cox recounted that social media followers corrected “her.” This after tweeting “her” reaction to the passage of Georgia’s anti-abortion law:

“Woman’s body. Woman’s right to choose. End of story.”

The Huffington Post reported how Twitter followers criticized Cox for failing to credit “‘trans brothers’ struggle in this [abortion] fight’ and pointed out that trans men can become pregnant as well.”

However, pointing out the obvious absurdity in that statement by deploying biological and basic facts now results in one’s banning from Twitter.

Reality (truth) is a lethal enemy of the fictional world that exists in the feverish imaginations of leftist legacy and social media forces. Their false utopia is a magical realm where the mainstream media somehow project themselves as an unbiased source for news. Daily, the media battles bravely against their chief nemesis, President Trump. They somehow know something Mueller didn’t find.

Namely that Trump really is a Russian agent working for Vladimir Putin. How could this be so, they wonder, in a wonderful, socially just land where men can become pregnant?
