Here are the phases of Canopy Growth. Just like any other new explosive emerging sector

Now imagine having one of the companies at the stage we are now, stage 1. Remains until the blue chip phase. Or even get bought out by one of the big ones. IMO better not just trade this sector better also have a core long position. Big changes can happen overnight

The first phase is a free-for-all. (This is where we are now)
There are tons of startups and small firms. New players are constantly entering the market.
Nobody has a giant market share. No clear winners yet.

Phase 2 is where we see massive consolidation. ( seen small signs of this starting)

Smaller companies start merging.
Bigger companies acquire smaller ones.

Phase 3 is when the mega-deals happen.
The big guys start merging with each other.
We’ve seen plenty of these deals eclipse $100 billion.

Then Phase 4 is where the action slows down.
You have just a handful of big players in an industry.
This is the blue-chip stock phase.
