There should be a tax refund but chances are investors won’t see it. There will be tax’s on the repaid debt. The debt that can’t be repaid will be paid from investors tax credit fund. The tax credit sold was about 30% of the debt. So if the debt loss is greater then thirty percent of the debt there will be nothing for investors. Then often if there is it’s insufficient to administer due to the cost. In those case they will often sell the tax credit to another interested company trying to raise capital. You will then end up with some obscured penny stock company making or trying to make a widget of some kind.
