wealthy and healthy Friday, 05/10/19 11:00:56 PM Re: None Post # of 2719 Oh really, CNCGers?? Do anyone of you actually know in depth the inner workings of these ETP's (or ETF's or ETN's) as intimately as I do? Have any of you ever had a position in ANY Hedge Fund on The Street as I have? If called upon, could any of you give a spontaneous, intelligent 5-minute talk on exactly how EPT's are benchmarked to a product platform, describe in detail how they are traded from both a broker and client standpoint, or give a cogent explanation of the spectrum of the counter party risks involved? Additionally, just because USCF and Crescent can throw a joint venture registration statement announcement out a 20th-story window for the public below is no guarantee it will ever get off the ground. Competition aplenty already exists. There's no new financial ground being broken here. These types of offerings are announced, sometimes withdrawn, sometimes terminated due to technicalities or uncertainties in the underlying product, especially with a non-physical monetary substitute like cryptocurrency. Regulatory hurdles and manifold compliance and fiduciary headwinds aplenty lie ahead. Finally, look at this flimsy, cavalier, generic description of cryptocurrency as if it were all just an easy, breezy, rosy walk in Central Park: "..a differentiated product, which offers better diversification than Bitcoin alone."
