I should mention the order you place the two comparison equities can make a difference. Chart DGAZ:UGAZ in one browser tab, and UGAZ:DGAZ in another, then toggle back and forth to see what I mean.

The two charts use the same data, are the exact inverse of each other, but the amplitude of the 6MA and 10MA trend line oscillations can make the cross overs easier to see on one chart verses the other.

For me anyway, I prefer using the DGAZ:UGAZ chart over the UGAZ:DGAZ.

You might want to try this with your gold and semi conductor pairings.
