April 20--The forecast for all that rain Friday didn't pan out. Today it was expected to reach 60. Not even close. It was cloudy and breezy all day, high of 53. I didn't enjoy it but there was work to be done.

I took a wheel barrow this time to load the aged manure. I shoveled it into a bucket to carry out to the beds. I've started on another corn plot, for one thing. I put out some 2x6 12 inch square boxes for zinnias. I took buckets to a plot I made from the six foot timbers for placing the Carolina Reaper plants by themselves. I worked up some boxes for peppers and herbs. In between those tasks I up potted some herb plants. Some catnip and Genovese basil are big enough to transplant.

I found another Shanghai Green baby bok choy plant that displays some spots on leaves which have also curled up. I threw it out. A strawberry plant doesn't look so go, either. Sometimes plants just die.

Since it didn't rain I deep watered the tomato plants and also watered the cucumber row. I made a hill for some melon seeds Ali brought back from Iran last year. If they germinate I will start a second hill.

Manure was also placed in some watermelon boxes.

Sunday morning's low will be around 41-43. Not that unusual for April in Zone 7b. In 2001 it was 32 on April 20.

CC the Calico Cat has made a nest in the strawberry bed.

The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
