Walls have been shown to keep pigs in pens, and to keep the wind out of your living room, but for keeping drugs out and such, walls may work in urban settings, but don't accomplish much in places where people have already figured out where their strategic placement is best for steering foot traffic to ports of entry.

Trump just has an expensive solution to what is not the main problem.
