I realize what is said on chat boards has little effect on share price. So we agree.

Share price is much more determined by the failings of the company that affect the price negatively, and the leaked insider info (true or not) that sometimes bumps it upward.

So, since we can agree on that.....saying that "the company must produce gold is all that matters".....when have I heard that before? Last year? And the year before that? And the year before that?

BTW, "producing gold" is not the same as "producing gold at a profit". Two different things. Any fool can produce gold if they have enough of their investors' money to subsidize it.
