My Take on the Show Last Night
First of all how many times must they pound the table on this being the most amazing group ever. What makes it worse is they are not even close, although there were some excellent performances, but a lot could still go in my opinion.
1) Laine- I didn't love the song choice for a competition. He sings it really decently but the song doesn't have a high degree of difficulty, solid and decent, but I have seen him better. Grade B-
2) Evelyn- When she picks a faster song, her voice for me goes from unique to not very good, and I'm being nice. Out of breath half the song, tone sounded not very good on it, and a bad vocal. Grade D-
3) Alyssa- Once again I didn't love the song choice. She had moments where she was really good vocally, and than she had moments where she was off as well. Decent But far from perfect. Grade B-
4) Eddie- Another awful vocal, he shouldn't have gone through for weeks. That was one out of control vocal, and a brutal one in my opinion at that. Grade F
5) Riley- Flat as a pancake in the beginning, tone didn't sound very good. Pitchey when she powered up through the song, not a great vocal here either. Grade D+
6) Wade- In the beginning it sounded like he was goggling mouthwash while he was singing. Overall the performance wasn't very good and I'm being nice. Grade D+
7) Dimitrius- A tale of two songs, the first half wasn't very good and I'm being nice. The second half when he powered up more into his full voice was very good, and hit some good notes during the end especially. Overall I thought it was slightly above average. Grade C+
8) Madison- It stuck out like a sore thumb this performance in a very good way, especially at this point. It was and excellent performance, she picked the right song, and a excellent vocal. I think that was a standout performance. Grade A
9) Jeremiah- Disliked the song choice, I know I said that a lot already. He hit some decent notes along the way, and it was a decent vocal, but I have seen him better. It was decent and solid though. Grade B-
10) Uche- His lack of clarity wasn't very good. The vocal was terrible for the most part, and another not very good performance. Grade D
11) Alejandro- It is what it is at this point. He wasn't terrible, I could take it or leave it, and more on the side of leave it. Average to maybe slightly below. Grade C-
12) Ashley- I really liked that emotional performance, as Madison had the best vocal by far, she had best emotional performance in my opinion as I felt her singing. A very good vocal as well to go along with the emotion, and a solid song choice. Grade A-
13) Laci- I thought she sang solidly, but it was a bit boring. Not my favorite performance from her, but still solid, and a solid vocal. Grade B-
14) Walker- There was a major timing issue in the song as he sang it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too slowly in parts, which made him off most of the song. He hit a few good notes towards the ends, but I thought it was slightly below average to average at best. Grade C-
Since the people would put through 7 here are the first seven I would put through. In the order I would put them through.
1) Madison
2) Ashley
3) Laine
4) Jeremiah
5) Laci
6) Alyssa
7) Dimitrius
The remaining 3 will picked by the judges. The three I would choose And trust me I'm kind of at my limit of the contestants I want to go foward all ready, would probably be walker, Alejandro, and either Riley or Wade. But as I said before they all could go if it was up to me. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.
